Welcome to the new Winning Streak. I just returned from Casino Affiliate Programs European Conference in Barcelona Spain, this event is better known as CAP Euro and just one in a series of conferences organized to bring together the movers and shakers in the affiliate marketing of online gambling.
Aside from enjoying great parties with friends and associates, some whom I've known for years, and also having my mind completely expanded by Barcelona and a mere 30 km's of the Spanish Mediterranean coast, I experienced an epiphany of sorts, or maybe it was just a hash and wine induced dream: I am a "Gambling Portal Webmaster".
Aside from enjoying great parties with friends and associates, some whom I've known for years, and also having my mind completely expanded by Barcelona and a mere 30 km's of the Spanish Mediterranean coast, I experienced an epiphany of sorts, or maybe it was just a hash and wine induced dream: I am a "Gambling Portal Webmaster".
It's a long story how and why I experienced this breakthrough but suffice it to say that for sometime I was deluded by the notion of developing this domain into an affiliate network, or a sportsbook, casino and even a players club. My delusion was brought about by my habit of over-complicating things and constantly trying to think "outside the box". Well being an individual of action I immersed myself in each of the en devours (should be detours) and really soaked up some time and energy in attempting to become a captain in one of the above mentioned enterprises, which I am not.
Along the way I made money, made friends, had a ton of fun, and learned a whole helluva lot about the industry of Online Gambling. Like I was actually meeting and partying with the wizard behind the curtain in Oz and he was showing me the map of the Yellow Brick Road (so to speak). But here's the thing, the lesson to my story in a nutshell, it's the affiliate webmasters who drive the industry and it's the affiliate networks that represent the gaming companies, or merchants as we sometimes call them that will pay the King's ransom for the players. And the grand wizard (player provider) of them all is the "Super Affiliate".
A Super Affiliate is a Gambling Portal Webmaster who makes in excess of $100k per month. Yes, it's true this fabled creature exists, it's not a myth and I've laid eyes on the these mythical beasts. One day I awoke at noon in a cheap pensione in Barcelona and realized that I'd been in their presence the night before, at an all-night, all you can drink launch party for BlackJack.com (which I'll write more about). So once I regained my faculties the idea dawned on me "why not investigate the Domains of the Super Affiliates" and write about it, study the habits and patterns of these monsters and tell the world about them.
Alas, I'm safely back at my fort in Brazil with all my notes, maps, bags of shirts and other conference paraphernalia. Concrete evidence that I was in fact amongst the Titans of Marketing, now totally prepared and completely committed to exposing the truth about how an average person with limited webmaster skills can become King of their Domain as a Gambling Portal Webmaster.
