Bluff Magazine is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Bluff Poker Tour, exclusively in conjunction with deposit site www.picclub.com. The BPT was originally launched in 2005 and ran though 2006 with overwhelming success. www.picclub.com has made it possible to bring back the successful virtual tour. In order for any player to be eligible they must create an account with www.picclub.com. Once an account has been created players can then deposit and use their funds to transfer money to participating poker rooms.
The BPT is a virtual tour which takes place at many online poker venues who utilize www.picclub.com processing. Each tour stop will be a $10 +$1 buy-in with points being awarded for both finishing position and participation. Tour stops will take place every Thursday evening at 9:15 PM EST. We will also include one Sunday tournament each month as a special bonus event. The Sunday tournament will take place at 8:30PM EST.
The BPT will run from Oct 30, 2008 to May 7, 2009, with the Tournament of Champions being held on May 10th, followed by the heads up battle on May 14, 2009. The overall point's leader will be exempt from the TOC and automatically receive a seat to the heads up battle to face the winner of the TOC. The heads up battle will be a best of 3 tournament with the winner being declared the BPT champion. The winner of the heads up battle will receive the grand prize, which is a seat into the Sports Legends Challenge (valued at over $10,000).
The TOC will be played on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 8:30 PM EST. Players can qualify for the TOC three different ways.
- Any player who wins an event will automatically receive an entry into the Tournament of Champions.
- Any Player who knocks out a bounty, which will consist of www.picclub.com pros, will receive an automatic entry into the TOC.*
- The top 10% of the point's earners (minus the BPT winners and bounty collectors) will receive an entry into the TOC.*
* Players qualifying by way of knocking out a bounty or winning a tour stop must play 50% of the events from the first tournament entered to be eligible for the TOC.
