One doesn't have to look too far back for proof that not only were Las Vegas casinos not interested in online gambling and online poker, they viewed them as a threat, as means to an end that would cannibalize their revenues and possibly marginalize them in the future world of real money gambling.

In December 2008, the situation for the Vegas land based casinos was quite abysmal. Their stocks were crashing, their hotel occupancy rates ware in a freefall, their $400 bottles of wine were replaced with $100 bottles and a favorable resolution to their recession-induced woes was nowhere in sight. It was then that the highest-profile industry representatives took part at a meeting organized by the American Gaming Association, members of which each of the major Las Vegas casinos are. It was then that Garry Loveman of Harrah's Entertainment decided to start pushing for a new AGA policy: one which instead of fighting the proliferation of online gaming, would aim to get the major live gambling companies involved in it, lobbying for legalization and regulation. The fact that offshore online poker companies like Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars were sailing through the troubled waters of recession sails bulging obviously didn't escape Loveman's attention. Loveman's timing in calling for change wasn't right though. Steven Wynn of Wynn Las Vegas was also at that meeting and he opposed change, arguing that cyberspace was quite impossible to regulate and police. Given Wynn's opposition, not much became of the proposed changes. For another full year, Las Vegas casinos were side tracked, reduced to mere observers of Full Tilt's and PokerStars' ever more appalling online success.

It wasn't until March 2010, that the AGA decided to support the legalization and regulation of online poker in the US. Although apparently a favorable one for the online poker industry, the decision was basically a prelude to the eventual death-knell of the existing establishment. While one may argue otherwise, it is in fact rather obvious that the Las Vegas casino interests adopted a two-pronged approach to the legalization and regulation of online gambling and poker. In about a year's time, the industry went from being constantly on the defensive to the offensive, effectively managing to completely destroy the existing online poker industry in the US, in order to create a vacuum which would then be filled with their own operations. The Black Friday indictments handed out by the US DoJ were in no way spontaneous: Las Vegas has almost certainly had a hand in that. Senate majority leader Harry Reid's sudden flip-flop on the issue of online poker and gambling wasn't happenstance either. Las Vegas had finally made up its mind on where it wanted to stand in the future, and the wheels had been put in motion. With online poker and gambling already legalized in Nevada, and with other US states looking to possibly adopt Nevada's regulations for their own intrastate markets, the epicenter of the online gambling universe has been successfully shifted. It was nothing more than a matter of time all along...

Savvy online poker players should never even consider playing without a rakeback deal like the PokerStars rakeback one. Those who are greedier may want to consider signing up for a poker prop deal.
The surface on which the race is run is one such factor. Race horses are mainly of two types: dirt track horses and turf horses. While there are horses out there that run equally well on main tracks and turf, these are so few and far between they're hardly even worth bringing up in this context. The reason behind why some dirt tracks and turf bring out such widely varying performances from horses is a simple one: it's a question of genetics and breeding. Some horses are simply physically better fit to run on turf than others. Other horses are physically better equipped for the main tracks. The bottom line: if there's a horse you know is great on turf, don't expect it to be similarly good on dirt and vice-versa. Also, if you happen to see a horse which is terrible on dirt, but shows promise over short distances during workouts, don't count it off the turf.

First-timers need to be handicapped much more thoroughly and one is best off including a pedigree analysis too if he wants to draw relevant conclusions about the horse. Checking out a horse on wet dirt track can also offer valuable clues to its turf capabilities: if the horse tends to run better on the wet track than on the fast one, it may indeed take to the turf much better.

This issue brings us to the next major handicapping factor: track condition. It's crazy that even in this day and age, many handicappers choose to simply ignore the track condition factor. This issue is at least as important as the above said turf/dirt one. The track condition factor is all about the wet/dry question. There are horses out there which prefer softer dirt tracks to more firm ones, and the same goes for turf too: European race horses tend to like soft turf better than the firm stuff US racetracks feature. Good handicappers can gain a pretty good estimate of the wet/dry preferences of a horse by simply looking at the past performances of horses under both circumstances. The good news is that more often than not, the professional handicapper who sells you his picks will do this rather tedious part of the handicapping for you. Certain turf races may be taken off the turf due to weather conditions, but pro handicappers have this aspect covered as well: they will do analysis for the turf as well as for the dirt just in case.

Class drops are yet another major handicapping factor. Horses which drop down their classes usually represent a threat so one needs to treat them with caution.

Other similarly subtle yet important factors to consider are medication changes and layoffs. Horses which do not race for 45 days are considered laid off and as such they're considered out of shape, as it is general wisdom that horses need a race to get back into the grind after such a long period of rest. The weight that a layoff carries varies from one track to another. There are tracks on which even a much shorter lay-off has deep consequences for the horses concerned.

As a savvy gambler, you should take all your horse racing related bets online. Online bookies reward their bettors with sign-up bonuses, and loyalty rewards which mimic the benefits offered by rake rebate deals and poker prop schemes. what is a poker prop? A poker prop is a player who gets an outstandingly generous rakeback percentage.

The EV is basically the expected value, or the amount of money a player can mathematically expect to win or lose on every bet that he makes. The expected value can be positive - in which case the player enjoys an advantage over the house or the player against whom he bets, or negative - which is mostly the case in casino gambling. In sports betting, like in poker, players can manipulate the expected value through skill. Indeed, just going ahead and placing a bet on any match-up that catches one's fancy for whatever reason is not the way to go about wagering. Those who are long term, consistent winners, are bettors known as advantage players. These guys take their time and do their research digging up match-ups where they're able to beat the vig - which is basically the bookie's edge. These players are only betting when they know that they have EV on their side. What exactly is EV though?

Here's a small example that will explain the EV better than anything else: you flip a coin with a friend (a 50-50 outcome event) and you're wagering real money on every flip. Every single time, you wager $2 against his $1 though. This way, your opponent will enjoy a positive expected value of $0.5 on every coin-flip. Here's why: with a 50-50 event like a coin-flip, you will win every second bet on average. While over the short-run, there will certainly be deviations from this rule, at the end of the day, you will win 50% of the time regardless what you do. What that means is that you'll drop $2 over two bets and win $1 for a total loss of $1. Your loss is your opponent's profit though. He takes home $1 for every two bets, which is $0.5 for every bet. That's his positive expected value right there. If you demand to wager $1 against your opponent's $1, both of your EVs will be 0, as you'll be betting 50-50 on a 50-50 event. If you continued betting $1 on an event with an outcome that favored one party though, the EV would once again lean towards the favored party. The bottom line: without having EV+ on a bet, it doesn't really make any mathematical sense to go ahead with it.

How do sharps secure EV+ in sports betting? It's not easy. It has to do with the hidden value, which is very real indeed, but which is extremely difficult to find. It takes time, patience and rock-solid handicapping as well as reverse handicapping skills. These are a handful of traits that your average recreational sports bettor just doesn't possess.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to stick to bet-types where the hidden value surfaces easier. These are bets that bookmakers find it more difficult or simply not lucrative enough to handicap as thoroughly as they would like to.

On account if their diversity prop bets fit into this category as do teasers.
In online poker, one of the best ways to secure lasting EV+ is by signing up for a rakeback deal or - even better - for a poker propping setup. Sign up to pokerprops.com to learn more.

Even recreational gamblers aim to score some dough, after all that is the object of the game and if one only loses, the game stops being enjoyable. If you win, it means you're playing the game well. You're good at it and there's quite a bit of satisfaction that comes with that.

Successful bettors will tell you that bankroll management has to go hand in hand with proper handicapping and reverse handicapping skills. Regardless of how good one is at locating value in various match-ups, without proper bankroll management all those efforts will be in vain: he won't be able to beat the variance.

In order to understand how bankroll management should work, one needs to understand variance. Beating the variance is the ultimate goal of every successful sports bettor, but it's a much trickier undertaking than it would seem at first glance.

What exactly is the variance through? Variance is basically the difference between various outcomes of the same event over several instances. Variance can be low - in which case the numbers are tightly spread. High variance is about numbers spread on a much larger scale. If one plays a with a certain edge, betting smaller amounts spread out over several bets makes for lower variance than betting large amounts on a few match-ups. For a sports bettor, the lower the variance is the better it is and this is where we enter bankroll management territory.

Regardless of whether the variance is high or low, the overall results will even up in time, on a large sample-size. Over smaller sample-sizes, variance tends to be high and this is the key to sports betting bankroll management right here. Even though results do even out over the long-run, sports bettors must have small short-term variance, for the simple reason that their bankrolls are finite. If you have large short-term variance, you're highly likely to wreck your bankroll before you can achieve the larger sample-size over which your results even out. You simply won't be around long enough to see your edges yield any sort of results for you.

In sports betting, the edges tend to be extremely small, which means one really does have to place a huge number of bets to see his edges prevail over the variance (which by the way is much higher in sports betting than it is in betting the stock market for instance).

The reason why most sharps recommend that you only bet around 3-5% of your bankroll on a given game (regardless of how strong you feel about it) is that they know you have to squeeze as many individual bets into your bankroll as possible in order to tame the variance.

The bottom line is that regardless of how capable you are of diminishing the effects of variance, you have to be prepared to deal with it if you intend to make money betting on sports. It may be evil, but it's a necessary evil indeed.
Take your sports betting online, where you will enjoy various bonuses and poker rake rebate-like loyalty deals that will further chip away at the variance and the juice. If you turn around enough money, you may even end up in a setup similar to a poker prop. What's a poker prop? A poker prop is a player who gets outlandish rewards in exchange for the time (and money) he spends at the site

Poker is truly thriving in Macau: there's a high stakes game which is basically a perpetual fixture, in which some wealthy Chinese businessmen provide very attractive action that draws in high-profile professional players like Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and their similar caliber peers. As far as casino gambling goes, there's no place like Macau really. Gambling tourism is flourishing and casino resorts are popping up everywhere.

Those interested in betting on sports won't be disappointed either, although the Macau sports betting scene isn't quite what it could be - will get into that shortly. Horse racing and greyhound racing is great to bet on and Macau offers plenty of both. The Macau Jockey Club (which used to be known as the Macau Trotting Club) features a wide variety of races and wagers are accepted on site, as well as off-course. Betting on horse racing may not be the most popular form of gambling elsewhere, but in Macau it's the buzz: the above said racetrack operators have thousands of employees working for them.

Greyhound racing takes place at the Canidrome and it too is extremely popular with the bettors. Players can place their wagers either at the Canidrome, or at one of the several hotels which offer off-course greyhound bets.

If you're looking for betting on sports like soccer, golf or you name it, you should know that in Macau, fixed odds sports betting is currently monopolized by Macau Slot. The fact that the company behind Macau Slot, Stanley Ho's Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau SA, has held de facto monopoly over fixed odds betting for quite a while, has discouraged everyone else to try to crack the market.

The company's license will expire in June 2012, but whether or not the government of Macau will open up the sport betting market after that date remains to be seen. The signals coming from various government channels have been mixed, and frankly not quite encouraging. The bottom line seems to be that the government will explore, analyze and research the various opportunities presented by fixed odds sports betting.

By becoming a member of a poker propping team, the road to fabulous rakeback riches (RMB) will open up, even for the average online poker player.

The concept behind parleys is quite simple really: instead of betting on say 3 individual teams, the bettor groups his 3 bets together, for a potentially increased payout and for reducing the risk factor. While some regard parlays as a sucker's bet, others swear by it. The bottom line is that there is a proper way to bet parlays and there's a wrong way. It takes patience and willingness to learn to be able to make proper parlay bets which are not destined the fail.

The thing with parley bets is that in order to get the max return, the bettor needs to win each and every one of his bets. If one or more of the bets turn out to be pushes, the payout takes a hit. If one of the bets turns out to be a loss, the whole thing goes down the drain.

What exactly are the odds for parlay bets? For 2-game parlays, the odds are 2.6-1. For 8 team ones they skyrocket to 150-1. The payouts are not bad indeed, bit it takes a lot more to get several bets right than just one. These are the general Las Vegas odds and the odds tend to be the same online, with the exception of a few sportsbooks where the payouts may be a little better. These odds are calculated on 50/50 propositions.

How exactly should you go about your parlays then? Which are sucker bets and which aren't? 2-3 team parlays are rarely sucker bets therefore that's what you should stick to. With 8 teams in the equation, the odds take a hit: stay away from those.

Why should you avoid some parlays? Here are a few reasons: some parlays work as progressive betting systems, and I hope I needn't tell you about why those don't really work. Sharps generally go for their quantified game-by-game edge, which is all about bet-sizing. Getting the bet-sizing right for parlays is quite a bit of work and there may or may not be any upside to it, so at the end of the day, it's not really worth the effort.

In addition to that, the odds on parlays are pretty much the same as those on single bets, but the variance is obviously much greater. For the same odds, it's a no brainer to go with the lower variance.

Another problem is line-shopping. Sharp bettors know that in order to maximize their edges, they need to shop around for the best available lines. This often means that they end up placing bets at several online bookies. In the case of a parlay, one would have to hunt down the best lines on the same site, which isn't possible, so the parlay bettor will end up trading value for the possibility of placing the bet.

There are advantages to parlay bets too. Some online bookmakers will look to draw bettors to their parlays by featuring reduced vig on these bets.

Many online bookmakers offer free play bonuses, which are best taken advantage of through parlays.

Taking your sports betting online is always a winning proposition. Not only do you get better odds, you also get to take advantage of sign-up bonuses and poker rake rebate-like loyalty deals. High volume players may also get unique deals which can often be as generous as a poker prop deal.

After all, he who manages to get his money into the middle on the right side of a match-up, time and time again, will obviously walk away with a profit. The problem however is a much more complex one. Those in the know are adept at maximizing value. They know whether it's better to bet on the money line or on the point spread, and they don't just do it because they have a gut feeling about it. They do it because they have developed an actual strategy. They reach deeper into the bag of tricks and they explore opportunities offered by prop bets, half points, first half betting lines and teasing.

Shopping around for the best lines is just as important as proper handicapping regardless of whether we're talking about NFL or NBA games here or any other sport. This is where most players have a huge hole in their betting strategy. They do the handicapping, they uncover the hidden value and then they forget about maximizing the value in their bets by taking a little bit of extra time to shop around for the lines. In this day and age, shopping around is a cinch for everyone. There are a plethora of online betting sites out there and they all work out their own lines. While the differences will never be radical, there will be differences nonetheless, which will be amplified by the system and which will generate rather different results in the end. As a successful sports bettor, you owe it to yourself to shop around for the best available lines. Picking the winner is not enough: one needs to make enough to beat the vig. The vig is quite probably the biggest enemy of the skilled sports bettor. By shopping around for the lines and by optimizing this aspect of your handicapping, you will pretty much do away with the effects of the vig completely.

The importance of the half point is something every sports bettor who hopes to succeed has to understand. When the prize is equal, picking the line with the extra half point is easy. When the price differs though, that's when the bettor needs to pull out his NFL database and get down to number-crunching. Only when one truly understands the value of the half point will he be able to decide whether or not it's worth it to buy a half point for however much the online sportsbook sells it.

Often times it makes sense to bet against certain teams on the first half line rather than on the endgame one. Some teams are slow starters and stronger finishers than others.

Prop bets will often hide excellent value too. Some online bookies offer prop lines derived from the primary betting lines of the match-up.

Alternate lines and parlays may also be additional sources of value for the savvy bettor.
In online poker, the best way to maximize the value is through a poker rakeback deal. Poker props earn outstanding rakeback percentages.

The online version of the popular card game wasn't always this successful though. In the beginning, the absence of the live dealer - a central piece in casino blackjack - was something players couldn't really come to terms with. The lack of a live person dealing out of a set number of decks created trust issues. Players couldn't be certain that the deal was indeed fair and even more importantly: they couldn't count cards. Not knowing exactly how many decks of cards the casino's RNG uses is still quite a problem for blackjack players today. Fears associated with the lack of a live dealer though have largely been assuaged. Even players who count cards and establish edges based on their skills like to play online these days. Frankly, they're still unable to count cards, but they can make up for the lost edges through the online casino bonuses and rake back-like loyalty deals, which are often more beneficial than card counting.

One of the goals of online casino gambling has always been to create an environment and an atmosphere as close to actual live casinos as possible. The reason is a simple one: most gamblers are simply crazy about the actual feel of live gambling establishments. Online casino software graphics have come a long way since their humble beginnings. Some however, won't settle for computer generated graphics. Some online casinos have gone as far as this chase for realism is ever likely to go: they've introduced live casino dealers, actual people who deal from actual decks of cards to online blackjack players.

In online casinos which feature such live dealers, players can clearly see not only the dealt cards, but also the decks used by the dealer. In the beginning, live dealers used regular-size cards for dealing, but it turned out players couldn't see the dealt cards clearly. The situation was remedied through the introduction of larger than regular cards.

Large online casinos feature regular blackjack as well as live dealer tables. Players can choose between the two variants. There can be as many as 20 live dealer tables, where new players can join those who already play there. The experience is indeed quite similar to a live casino.

Regardless of whether you play at a live dealer table or at a regular online blackjack one, you should always make sure that - like online poker props - you get the most out of the time you spend at the tables. Use basic strategy and apply for all the bonuses and loyalty deals for which you are eligible.

To avoid what's generally regarded the fool's way to end a SNG - to be blinded out - most players resort to stealing blinds. SNGs concoct a perfect set of circumstances for blinds stealing, therefore it's an obvious tool to resort to. The biggest problem with the steal is that nowadays it has become the norm rather than the exception. Everyone steals everyone else's blinds and at the end of the day, no one benefits. Those who want to preserve an edge need to take things one step further, and this is where the re-stealing of the blinds comes into the picture. Re-stealing is a sneaky way not only to defend your blinds but to punish those who attempt a steal. Given the pressure generated by the blinds as well as the general affinity for blinds stealing, most players will attempt these steals on less than ideal hands. After all, if they only stuck to bullying you out of your blinds when they had legit hands, we wouldn't be talking about stealing, would we? Given the very nature of the steal, most players performing the move are willing to fold when faced with a nasty raise from the BB. They know they don't have much and when faced with a raise, they assume the BB has the goods indeed, so they're in no mood to tangle. It all sounds simple enough doesn't it? Well it isn't.

In order to successfully pull off a re-steal, you need a whole bunch of different factors to click: you have to be faced with a certain type of opponent whom you have to have read fairly well. Your table image has to be the right one, your hand has to be the right one and your timing has to be spot on too. It's not easy to get all these variables to click, but once you get the hang of it, you'll develop a feel for the right situation.

As far as the ideal opponent goes, against whom you should attempt re-stealing: he's an aggressive blinds stealer, a player who is an above average one skill-wise.

Good players know all about the advantages of blinds-stealing, but they're good enough to know that when they get re-raised, they just got caught. They are much more likely to just fold in order to protect their stack which is basically their SNG lifeblood, than a bad player who will feel pot committed and call off 10 BBs without blinking an eye. Good players won't feel pot committed because they'll know they're likely dominated, and when that is indeed the case, one simply cannot be pot-committed.

The main idea behind the re-steal is the fold equity. In order to take full advantage of it, you need to be re-stealing with something more substantial than 7,2o though. Something like 9,10 is enough: after all, you're stealing and not betting for value, but you need something to fall back on in case your opponent decides to make the call.
Don't commit the mistake of playing SNGs without a rakeback deal or better yet, a decent poker prop deal. Rake rebate deals will save you a lot of money on the tournament fees.

Suited connectors can indeed be a player's best friend, but in the same time they can be among his worst enemies too.

It's easy to understand why pros like suited connectors: they can make flushes and straights too. Basically, they're among the best big pot hands. Pocket pairs (especially big pocket pairs) will indeed win lots of pots, but they tend to be smaller ones. Suited connectors win huge pots every time they're hit for a monster, not only because of the straights and flushes that they make, but also because they're extremely hard to read.

Many people realize the enormous potential in this starting hand and start treating it as a made hand, while it's only a drawing hand. That's how people get fried and that's how they manage to turn suited connectors into their worst enemy.

The deal with this starting hand is that it's not as strong as to warrant automatic involvement in the pot every time one picks it up. Straights and flushes do not come about as often as one abusing suited connectors would like to, therefore some people apply the set-mining principle to them: they count on the implied odds to deliver them from the losses incurred while limping and not hitting anything. The problem is that this set-mining mindset doesn't quite work for suited connectors. Those attempting it will lose money in the long-run.

The only way to play suited connectors in a 6-max game is through aggression. Aggression offers the player several ways to win the pot instead of just one. The aggressor can win the pot right away by forcing his opponents to fold. He can also pour on some pressure past the flop through a c-bet which is another option to take down the pot. He will still be able to make his straight or flush and make the best hand winning the pot squarely.

Aggression is a good solution, but nothing in poker is black and white. Just because one is able to secure an edge through it under certain circumstances, it doesn't mean it'll work every time, and the thing with aggression is that when it backfires, it does so in an extremely painful manner. Position is the determining factor in when and how one should use aggression.

Playing suited connectors from early position is not a winning proposition. At best, those who have an extremely solid post flop play can break even, which means that it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The majority of people will simply lose money with it. In order to balance your range, you can turn on the heat from early position with suited connectors, but be aware that the move will likely cost you money.

Of course, how high your suited connectors are is also an influencing factor. You should pretty much toss low suited connectors into the muck even from middle position. As you approach the button, you can add more and more of these starting hands into the mix, playing them aggressively every single time.

A poker prop deal or a poker propping deal will give you an edge regardless of how you play your suited connectors. Sign up for such a deal today and start grabbing those extra dollars right away.

There really is no limit to the different spins they can put on a game, if you pardon the pun. And roulette - one of the most popular Betfair Table games - isn't immune to the developer's innovation.

Double bonus spin roulette is the same as standard roulette but with the addition of a yellow area called the "double spin bonus" area. Just like any other variant of roulette the action starts after you have placed your bets. Dependant on your type of bet you will be trying to guess what number pocket the ball will land in or a certain area of the wheel.

Double bonus spin roulette has an extra bet area. The area is coloured yellow and is wider than the size of a normal pocket. When the ball lands in this area you receive two free bonus spins. If the ball lands in the yellow area and you have placed a bet in there then you can also receive an instant bonus and the possibility of some much larger payouts. The idea of the game is similar to the Betfair Jackpot Games that pay out higher prizes and game bonuses.

A straight yellow bet would pay out 12:1 if the ball lands in the special yellow bonus area. Then you will receive two free spins and if the subsequent spins also land in the yellow bonus area you could win 120 to 1 on the second occasion and a whopping 1200 to 1 on the third time. There are also split yellow and trio yellow bets. Split yellow bets pay 6 to 1 odds and trio yellow bets is similar to split yellow but only pays 4 to 1 on the first win.
Not only can you beat the house by getting your hole cards to amount to 21 but you can also win a side bet based on a three-card poker hand.

Derek Webb devised the game "21+3 blackjack" back in 1998 after various visits to Las Vegas left him feeling slightly bored playing the normal game of Blackjack. Webb decided to make some changes to the original Betfair Blackjack format and 21+3 blackjack was born.

When you start the game you place your original ante as you would playing normal Blackjack. The three-card poker game is an optional bet. After pressing the deal button you will receive two cards face up and the Dealer will receive one card face up. If you have chosen to take the optional three-card bet then these are your three cards from which a poker hand needs to be made. If you have made a three-card poker hand then you will keep these winnings irrespective of how you perform in your blackjack hand.

This follows the trend of increasingly technical and carried casino games, with gamers wanting a greater variety of games to play. You only have to look at the list of Betfair arcade games available to see how the punters want new types of casino entertainment all the time.

In 1998, Progressive Games Inc (PGI) sued Webb for patent infringement. Webb decided to sell the rights to Shuffle Master because of the potential legal costs he would be facing. Four years later Webb countersued claiming PGI forced him to sell too cheaply. In 2007, PGI agreed to settle outside court and it is believed Webb received close to $20 million. Not a bad some of money for inventing such a seemingly simple game.
<fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles</legend>

Blackjack Switch: Gamblers can swap top cards (sfgate.com)

What game has the highest winnings in vegas (wiki.answers.com)

</fieldset>

The so-called Holy Grail of gambling, a gambling Mecca that allows for non-stop gambling 24-hours a day. But unless you prepare fully for the experience "Sin City" could chew you up, spit you out and turn your dream into a nightmare.

The very first thing you should do is to learn each of the games you plan to play as fully as you can, including any rule variations that occur when playing to Las Vegas rules. This can be easily done by playing online Blackjack and other games in 'virtual' casinos to help you find your feet. Once you are actually on the casino floor make sure you do not get carried away with the whole occasion and stick to games that you know how to play. Suddenly swapping your usual blackjack and roulette games for baccarat and craps is a recipe for disaster.

You should also ensure that you are dressed for the casino and not for Las Vegas. It is ok to wear what you like when you're sat in front of your computer playing Betfair Roulette but you have to plan ahead in sin city. During the summer months Las Vegas can be blistering hot outside but all of the casinos have air conditioning to combat this. The problem is they often turn it onto one of the coldest possible settings so if you have travelled to the casino in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt then you could find yourself very cold, and therefore unable to concentrate properly, when you have been playing for any length of time. Ever notice there are always lots of people wearing "I love Las Vegas" sweatshirts in holiday photographs? It is not because they were a bargain at the shop!

Although you are on holiday you should treat the gambling aspect of your trip similar to a business. By this I mean you should divide up your total gambling bankroll into how the same number of piles as you are there days and only take that amount out with you each day. This way you will not go completely broke or lose a large amount of money in your first couple of nights and ruin your Las Vegas experience.

Finally, you should inform the hotel that you are staying in that you plan to play in their casino as this should see you receive a healthy discount from your bill. Nearly all Las Vegas hotels will reduce the rate of their rooms if you, for example, play 20 hours of blackjack or wager a specific amount on the slots or on the roulette table. This saving can be used to enjoy your Las Vegas trip even more.
<fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles</legend>

The Best Las Vegas Nightlife and Clubs: Here's Where To Go (businessinsider.com)

How to Get Free Drinks in Las Vegas (lasvegaslogue.com)

Paul Carr: The Strip Diary, Day Sixteen: An Open Letter to Parents Who Bring Their Children to Las Vegas (huffingtonpost.com)

</fieldset>

We're seeking more strategic partners and thinking about adding another author, once the traffic reaches 1,000 visitors per day. Also, we'd like to hire an assistant to help us keep up with the social networking.
